Cannot Tell Right From Wrong

by David on September 24, 2009

In law, one of the definitions of insanity that relieve a person being tried in court for a crime is that they cannot tell right from wrong.

Idleness is the mother of all vices
(The devil makes work for idle hands)

Necessity is the mother of invention

Desire is the engine of necessity

Enlightenment is freedom from desire

Freedom from desire leads to idleness

Idleness is the mother of all vices

Correction
Enlightenment is the freedom from wrong desires

Wrong desires     Right desires

One who cannot tell right from wrong is insane

We are {all} caught on the turning wheel of wrong desire

Ergo – we are all insane.
