This Is What Is Wrong With The Guardian And Britain

Malay Mouse Deer

Look at the photograph and the caption. See anything wrong with the headline and the caption? If you don’t then you are too far immersed in the evils of British culture to see it.

What is wrong with the headline and the caption, is this.

There is nothing ‘unsettling’ about a small animal.

There is nothing funny about “Now Don’t Cry – You’ll probably drown them.” No-one wants to cry – unless it is out of sadness for the animals and birds being threatened with destruction right now off the Gulf of Mexico by the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.

I don’t need to be told how to react to the little deer. I don’t need to be told that it is good and British to have a little mocking laugh at everything we see and do.

Britain is drowning in mockery.

I think the Guardian is a good newspaper, but this is the kind of thing you get in the Guardian. Pity really.
