My iPad Is Made Of Paper

by David Bennett on August 6, 2010

A couple of times in the past week or two I have been reading the Guardian newspaper and I have seen an article there that I would like to blog about.

The latest thing I came across is an article on the future of the U.S. in Iraq. It is written by Seumas Milne under the title The US isn’t leaving Iraq, it’s rebranding the occupation.

Now I should explain that I read this article in a real, physical hold-it-in-your-hands Guardian newspaper.

The reason I did that is that I like to hold and turn the pages of a newspaper and let my eyes wander around.

The neat thing though is that the Guardian has an online mirror for its articles, or at least for some of them.

I think some of the online articles are abreviated versions, but they offer a great way to share articles – having first found them in the newspaper.

I don’t want to lose the opportunity to read real newspapers in the future, but like many people I think that their days may be numbered. I hope the news of their impending demise is wrong.
